#RiRi Goin’ Rogue?

Rihanna is burning up the tabs these days with her ever changing fashion.

So is she coming undone, or is Rihanna just entertaining us?  Can she really be just “making music” with Chris?

Watchers are trying to get her to Rehab her style, but from the looks of it, she says “no, no, no!”…Well then, bring on the crazy, mama!

Various media outlets, beginning with TMZ.com, are reporting the death of the musical icon and talent, Ms. Whitney Houston.

Her musical legacy and unparalleled vocal will live on, but the promise of seeing Whitney Houston’s return and recovery is dimmed with her untimely passing.

Whitney Houston was said to be set to star in the remake of the popular movie, Sparkle, with Jordin Sparks playing the lead role of the young talent, Sparkle, and Ms. Houston cast as her mother.

Her peers in the pantheon of music are joining the chorus of mournful words, since we were all fans of her music, many of us since her first hit, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”.

Beautiful, shining, brilliantly and effortlessly talented, who knew that this untimely ending would be her fate?   May she rest in peace…

Hollywood Reacts – The Hollywood Reporter:

Tweeting out a sign to her lambs, Ms. Mariah Carey, tweeted the link to her online album of her twins – DEM BABIES – to share Monroe & Moroccan’s latest close-up.

First the “BIC” and now “DEMBABIES”.  Apparently, this was a big day for BRINGING the Celeb Baby Cuteness…

The Carters went all social media friendly & took to Tumblr to share Baby’s First Photo with the world.

No selling of the first photos to the tabs, ugly bidding wars, etc.

Check out the collage below…Beyonce looks peaceful and Jay-Z looks very content.

The baby girl of the hour, Blue, is already holding court on her Tumblr site aptly named  – Hello Blue Ivy Carter

Have we got sexy reading comprehension.  How do we know?  In the NY Post, Page Six leaked that Alice + Olivia would have an installation with complete with models in a bedroom in the middle of Times Square.

Being intrepid, glam and nosy (nee Observant) New Yorkers, Step and Repeat ventured it out in the BLEEDING bitter NY cold to see what all this #getintoourpants was all about…

The momentum was building, while checking about the whimsical installation furnished with Alice + Olivia’s  Spring pants line  gilded bicycles and toy horse heads, I learned that if we tweeted a pic of the scene with the hastag #getintoourpants, we would could win %20 percent off a new pair of the VERY fine Alice + Olivia pants.  As good social media nerds, we did. Guess what – WE SCORED and will #GETINTOOURPANTS, thanks to Alice + Olivia.

It’s FINALLY here – New York Fashion Week, that’s what, kittens!

Am thrilled to have kicked off the 2012 NYFW right -by  attending some inspiring events, namely the Style Coalition’s 2012 Fashion Awards 2.0(#Fashion20)!

Thanks to Style Coalition,  Step and Repeat hustled in her heels to 2012 Fashion Awards 2.0 and what a special evening it was! Robert Verdi, was the host of the evening’s festivities and treated us to so many oneliners and Hilare moments, it was entertaining start to finish!  I espesh loved the loud fanboy in the back of the house, he was having his own back and forth with Verdi.  Robert is a fantastic host – they should really tap him for more shows!  Did you know that Verdi used to work at the Short Hills Mall, in Joisey? True story.  What else is a true story?  His total adoration for Norma Kamali!   He said as a young retail sales guy, he would steer the Soccor Moms to buy Kamali’s gorg designs, knowing that they would fall head over clutch purse for it.   And so began a career of total fabulosity for Mr. Robert Verdi, BFF of Eva Longoria, divo of HSN merch, etc.

But back to Kamali, she gets this whole interweb thing.  Her devotion to understanding emerging technology and harnessing its power for the good of the fashion masses – is inspiring.   I was already a fan for her iconic work and vision (“sleeping bag dress, parachute pants, etc.), but hearing her speak so passionately about social media, she really impressed me.   So gracious during her keynote was Ms. Kamali of the lovely and adoring of the social media dah-lings in the audience, she invited us all to her presentation on Wedsnesday during Fashion Week.  Yes, it was that much love.

Despite some minor hiccups, the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, brought back the good times (but no “Holiday”) for the Super Bowl this year!

I know that I was not alone on the nostalgia train…

Winning: Loved the opening ensemble, the golden headdress, espesh!  Also, the “Open Your Heart” segway w/ Cee-Lo, going into “Like a Prayer” was very on-point.

Not-so-much: She’s a perfectionist, so someone is going to get it for something though…still not sure about the new song, but it might grow on me…

All in all – stars all around…i heart the 80’s/90’s…Madonna’s an evergreen in my book…She’s still her Madg-esty!

Ooh-la la! The Material Girl is ready for some football love this weekend during her Super Bowl Halftime Show and with all the press Ms. M is getting – why not give them what they want?

Madonna shakes her pom-poms for her latest song – Give Me All Your Luvin’ – feat. Nicki Minaj and M.I.A…Whaddya think? Does Madge still make you want to dance, for inspiration?

Props: Marilyn Monroe references, Nicki Minaj’s bustier, the little rap breaks mid-song by Minaj and M.I.A, the Japanese girls with babydoll masks

Quirks: The song itself is a little bubblegum for Madam M.  M.I.A.’s look and dancing looks offbeat, ala Carlton Banks…

She teased, her staff asked us not to spill the beans before she could promo it, but then she let the cat out of the bag!

Mary J. Blige would perform on The Wendy Williams Show.  She not a happy camper, it seems.

She wasn’t nominated for an Oscar for her song from the movie, The Help, entitled “The Living Proof” it seems…check her tweets post-Oscar noms announcement:

Mary tweets about the Oscar Snub Heard 'Round Twitterverse

This performance was PRE-Oscar announcement.  She also performed the snubbed song – Living Proof.

For any artist, performing in the early afternoon/late morning is a stretch, but the  Queen of R & B performed “Mr. Wrong” and was excellent and looked diva-fresh in her Dolce and Gabbana…

MJB drops some 411 and some interesting quotes on her marriage, fame, sobriety journey, etc…Watch Wendy get the scoop on MJB.  What do you think?  Should Mary abstain all together because she had an issue with alcohol, or is moderation the way?    Kittens, take care of your selves and enjoy the POV…

Miss Perry is bouncing back just fine these days, having a showing in Las Vegas to celebrate the launch of jewelry line by a friend and posing for some paps.

When she goes through phases, Katy seems keen on “whipping her hair back and forth”, to wash that man, drama, rough night, etc., out of her hair…

Enter David LaChappelle.  He shot her for a new campaign, selling ghd’s newest hairdryer.   And when I think hairdryers, I think Mermaids.  Yeah, and purple clouds and rainbows…that’s some good stuff right?

Anyway here the latest take on mermaid chic since Gaga’s try.

Katy the Mer-chic.
